Our very pleasant experience having Anderson and Noland build our new house in Marysville:
We decided to move to the Marysville/Plain City area from Washington Court House, to be closer to our daughter and her family. Being new to the area, we were not familiar with builders or construction companies. We chose Anderson and Noland to build our new house because our daughter told us that Mike Anderson is a skilled craftsman whose attention to detail and meticulous work would satisfy her very particular father. She told us that she has known Mike and Marla for quite a few years and that they are honest, caring people with great integrity. This turned out to be excellent advice! We know that the house is well built of good materials and that no shortcuts were taken in the building process. It was a pleasure working with Mike and Marla as we planned our house and watched it move from being an empty lot to a hole in the ground and then to a completed house filled with all of our things and the people we love.
One of Mike’s gifts is his ability to listen and to understand what homeowners want in their new house. His creativity and woodworking skills, coupled with his extensive experience and knowledge of building, are assets that he brings to the design table. Our needs were somewhat unique because we wanted to have an elderly parent move in with us in the new house, and we wanted for her to have her own space and still share the main living areas of the house with us. Mike helped us design our living space and plan a beautiful home that is perfect for the three of us. He and Marla shared our excitement as the house was built.
Mike is a very good communicator. He called us frequently and encouraged us to call him with questions or concerns. He was always available when we called. Mike was involved in every step of the building process and he made sure that things were done properly. We met often with Mike and Marla, and enjoyed a growing friendship as the house progressed.
For us, building a new house and moving to a new community was a huge, life-changing decision, as we had lived in our previous house since we were married 32 years ago, and because Linda had never purchased or built a home. People warned us that building a house can be a terrible experience and that we would have difficulties along the way and end up spending way more than we had planned to spend. We found the process to be the exact opposite! We had a wonderful experience and we felt supported and cared about from start to finish. Anderson and Noland helped us keep our house within our budget and there were no hidden costs or financial surprises at the end. Our house is truly a custom house, built exactly the way we wanted it to be, with special touches and finishes that make it uniquely ours. We moved into our home in October, 2011, and we love it!
