ENERGY-EFFICIENT CONSTRUCTION

Anderson & Noland is a Certified Green Building Professional. Through the Green Building Professional certification process Anderson & Noland has further developed an understanding of energy efficiency, resource conservation, water conservation, and indoor air quality. This knowledge is incorporated into each project. A few key areas green building practices are utilized are listed below:

  • Insulated garage door
  • Thermal break weather stripping on all exterior doors
  • Low E windows
  • Caulk and sealant package for all exterior walls to provide additional energy efficiency
  • Energy efficient furnaces and water heaters
  • Roof overhangs with ventilated soffit

  • Exterior basement walls contain R-5 wall insulation for added efficiency
  • Carpeting made with 20% post consumer recycled materials

SITE WORK

  • Bedroom closets include 1 wood shelf and 1 closet rod; however, custom built closet organizers can be built to fit client needs.
  • Beautiful woodwork at any price point is our trademark and this includes:
    • Increased size of interior wood trim: 3 ½” casing and 5” baseboard
    • Wood-cased door openings, not drywall
    • Wood returns on all interior windows, instead of drywall or marble
    • Wood shelving in closets, instead of wire
    • Custom decorative interior woodwork detail specific to each client
